Unreliable Panel State Saving & Loading

Featured Replies

Hello all

I seem to have a real problem reliably saving and loading panel states. What tends to happen is that the MCU informs me that a panel state has been successfully saved, but upon loading said state, FSX freezes after the NGX has run through its initialisation process with an APPCRASH - the faulty module being reported as PMDG_737NGX.DLL.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but saving a panel state should allow a given NGX setup to be restored into any saved FSX (NGX) flight, therefore, saving a panel state should not require the flight to be simultaneously saved ? The instruction manual quotes this:

Saving a Panel State: Saving a panel state is a bit different. Panel states

allow you to save the airplane’s current configuration without any regard

to the phase of flight or location of the airplane. This being the case,

panel states are entirely mobile and thus give you great flexibility.

I'm actually attempting to save a ready for pushback panel state that I can reuse when time is short and I want to get in the air quickly. However, I'm having some real problems achieving this !!!

Btw, loading the default NGX panel states work fine.

Any help or pointers much appreciated.

Regards

Gary

Have you tried it with the default liveries?

I had something similar and I ended up uninstalling all my liveries, reinstalling SP1c, and downloading the latest versions of the liveries - no problems since.
