713 notice but the file I'm missing is: MSSTDFMT.DLL

Featured Replies

I haven't received an e-mail from you since Friday, so I thought I'd go here. I tried the method you have posted here, but since the file I'm missing is required to make the thing work, it didn't work. I also tried moving the MSSTDFMT.DLL file I have from the old computer into the SysWOW 64 file, but alas it won't recognize it there. I'm still unable to load a Flight Plan into RC, so I can't use it until this is fixed. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Bill Cox

are you running 64 bit windows?

if you are, and the file is in the \syswow64 directory

open a dos window, as administrator

type the following commands, exactly

cd c:\windows\syswow64

regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll /u

regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll

close the dos window, start rc

I tired it twice but it won't work. I don't think the computer is recognizing the file when I put it in syswow64. If I leave it in both that and system32 it only sees it in the 32 file, and if I delete it from 32 it can't find it even if it's in the 64 file.

Success finally! I used the method Boeing 737-800 suggested, downloaded the .dll from the site Ronzi found, and followed the instructions. It worked.

Thanks guys
