July 18, 201213 yr Greetings: Something odd is occurring with FSX and I'm not sure what is causing it or how to stop it. Every 10 minutes or so the screen updates (like it's loading scenery). A text box appears with a data line. It is very quick - maybe 1 second on the screen at the most - too quick to actually read anything. This occurs even if you sit on the runway. Weather is set to NOT update. I am NOT running a weather engine and I am using static weather. I'm using ORBX scenery but this shouldn't be an issue, and as the "update" occurs when I'm sitting on a runway, I don't believe it to be scenery related. Ideas? It never did this in the past and has only started to do this recently. I've made no known changes that I know of. I hope someone can provide some advice. July 18, 201213 yr Are you using Ultimate traffic or any AI program? I had this happening and discovered it was UT2 causing it. Lowered amount or AI or disabled, dont remember and it stopped. Drove me nuts. Sat there with my finger on the print screen button and finally got a screen shot of what the loader was saying. It was AI traffic loading!
July 18, 201213 yr Moderator Sounds like you have the time sync in FSUIPC turned on. It will refresh the scenery every so often if the time is out of sync. Other programs that sync FSX to real time do this also. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

The setting was at 5, which explains the regular "time" update" Thank you, WilloW WilloW (YMHB) flaps2approach.comB737-800 simulator
