Im a GA flyer, and dont normally fly airliners, but Ive been playing around with and trying to learn the CRJ-200 in detail. After taking a short flight and poking around a lot in the cockpit, I noticed this little propeller thing sticking out of the front. What is this for? I couldnt find anything about in in the manual. (ive circled it in red).

Hello ! It's the ram air turbine:

Here's a nice RW picture: http://nsa27.casimages.com/img/2011/10/01/111001085734203067.jpg

PS: Sorry, on the CRJ-200 this is called Air Driven Generator (ADG). You'll find everything about this in a document called "Bombardier CRJ 200 Electrical". You can find it here, read page 16:

Thanks for the great info MDMax,

I must have deployed it by accident. I still have a lot to learn about this aircraft.

I noticed that RealScenery has the state of Florida but it states v9.22+ of XP. Does the + mean it will work with v10?

N1G, yes, X-Plane 9 scenery will work in v10. But if you have a question about it you should contact the author of the scenery.
