July 29, 201213 yr Morning, I've just seen that Chip has reviewed my latest Aberdeen Dyce scenery (EDPD). This screenshot took my attention: http://xsimreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/729-Aber-1.jpg The OSM2XP buildings here are mid-rise tower blocks. However on my computer they are rendered as low rise office buildings as they should be. Why is this? I've checked the time & date stamps of the files in the scenery folder against those in the zip file and they are the same. Surely everyone else should see the same view that I'm seeing?
July 29, 201213 yr Lets see, Chip has Tom Knudsen's OSM UK Scenery part 1 which covers Scotland installed on his computer. Tom's named his scenery folder "scotland" (yes with a little s ... he has soiled my forefather's country's name, time to get the pitch forks!), while you have named your OSM folder "z Aberdeen OSM". I think you understand what that means* .... because clearly you considered putting a "z" in-front of your OSM folder name, while Tom did not. You might want to let Chip know to edit his scenery_packs.ini to set your OSM scenery above Tom's ... just a suggestion. *By default X-Plane prioritizes scenery alphabetically, so Tom's OSM scenery has a higher precedence over yours. And obviously he's used a different building height setting compared with yours, this is why Chip has taller buildings in this picture.
September 9, 201213 yr You could also make an exclude facades file with the overlay editor that covers the airport, problem solved... X-Plane Scandinavia Norway - Sweden - Finland - Iceland - Denmark https://www.facebook.com/xpscandinavia Like - Share - Follow us on everything
