Coming soon: Ventura Sky for X-Plane 10.50
Well lets see how it goes, if the performance hit is on the downside, this would be a valued package.

Coming soon: Ventura Sky for X-Plane 10.50
Sit on the fence? Dont get that.. Then I am interigued for sure, going to dive into the code and see when it comes. I beg to differ on the NOAA frame issue, if not fixed in 2.2.2 there are frames issue and it was addressed the developer some time ago. I will try it again to check, but in any case where you double on cloud layers there bound to be more of a performance hit in game, thats basic logic. Lets just hope I am wrong..

Coming soon: Ventura Sky for X-Plane 10.50
Could be interesting. But FSGRW and NOAA I will never use, especially the last one that is a frame killer delux on my machine. Real connector is also something I could not care less about and skycolors I have my own. So basically it will be int. to see what the code is about and check to see if it is not any reproduction of my code within RTH

X-Plane Library Installer now version 2.3
Yes, problem is the githubs file size restrictions. Second you need to make every library developer upload to this server or any other server. Which means more permission. Most library installer do not want to have their library hosted anywhere other than x-plane.org, and that would make it difficult. Even worse, most library do not update them self, there is even library now dated back to 2012. So in an sense, the small issue of tracking each library is no problem at all. And lets face it, a 2GB file size is half a DVD to download and even with a 3Mbit subscriber line it does not take forever.. I try to update ever month and a shorter update frame than that will only be annoying for most end users. Do not know, it works on every computer there is.. Try downloading JRE or JDK from a different source and check your security settings, ie. smart filter etc..

P3DV2.1 stutter or no stutter
Left FSX at the same time X-Plane came out and have never regret it. Have been following Prepar3D development since, and are gobsmacked to see it still has many of the same issues FSX had. Hope they get eliminated in future versions, but until then I am enjoying an problem free simulator with XP10.

FTX Global Who is Gonna Buy!
In the end I do not think FTX World is worth the money. I do beileve it is more hype than quality but please misunderstand me correctly when I say this as FTX do have some beutiful airports and designs. but in the end there is the fact that in every picture we see from this "wonderful package" is a maxed out FSX or P3D. That means that YOU in most cases will not get the same results on your computer. So most of you will try every tweak imagine and in plain frustration overclock your pc just to bearly maintain 25FPS in order to somewhat run this landclass togeather with i.e PMDG. That makes this product a pure eyecandy product as pr hardware definition anno 2013 So in my mind until the hardware levels out the product, I would continue to use Ground Environment for both FSX and P3D, low price, fps friendly.

How to hack an airplane with an android phone?
We find vournabilities to tighten security, without such knowledge and ability to reverse engineer, we would not be able to prevent mailicious code or intent.

Microsoft - the great enigma? And it's continued failures.
As a programmer I could not agree more with the topic starter! In an company like Microsoft there are basic three things that can fail, one beeing management, two beeing economics and three beeing engeneering. I would imagine we can already eliminate economics beeing a week point, so that leaves us with engineering and management. I would argue that Microsoft do have the neccesary engineering capability within their company, so that would leaves us with management as the primary candidate for a weak point. So the question remains, could we blaim the departure of ACES and the Microsoft Flight Simulator era on other things than pure weak management Could we blame it on technology, market venue, market knowledge, corporate decitions based on weak management reports, the fact that Microsoft did not ever had a ability to develop a worth while graphic engine to sustain the life of the simulator? One can just imagine the resons, but i tend to lean into management in favour of the topic starter..
