July 30, 201213 yr Benoit's patch for the hydraulic problem with a cold and dark start in fs9 is now available in the library Trevor
August 5, 201213 yr I am having trouble with the autopilot. If i turn the A/P on it should be in CWS mode and I should be able to adjust pitch with the yoke and the a300 will maintain that pitch when i centre the yoke...this does not work for me at all. I am using FSUIPC to assign/calibrate the yoke, so I have "joystick disconnected" selected in FS9 itself...could this be my problem? I am also unable to get the pitch control thumbwheel on the glareshield to work. It will change the pitch in the little window next to it, but the a/c takes no notice of the instruction. I am able to use IAS climb/descent mode fine, so it is not a big issue. If anyone has any advice i would be grateful. Peter Peter Schluter
August 5, 201213 yr Author Hi If i turn the A/P on it should be in CWS mode and I should be able to adjust pitch with the yoke and the a300 will maintain that pitch when i centre the yoke...this does not work for me at all. I am using FSUIPC to assign/calibrate the yoke, so I have "joystick disconnected" selected in FS9 itself...could this be my problem? It COULD be your problem. To be able to use the CWS mode, first check that it is indeed in that mode by looking for the word "pitch" (in green) on the panel annunciator. If its not showing, then you won't be able to use the CWS mode. I am also unable to get the pitch control thumbwheel on the glareshield to work. It will change the pitch in the little window next to it, but the a/c takes no notice of the instruction. That is correct. The wheel does NOT adjust the pitch. You use it to set your target pitch for take-off. Hope this helps - otherwise study the manual - it is quite detailed. If you're still stuck, then post again. Trevor
August 5, 201213 yr Trevor, thanks for quick reply. I shall re-read the manual, I have obviously misread the bit about the thumbwheel for pitch. I do get the green "pitch" annunciator, so that bit is working. I will have a play with the FS9 settings and see if "joystick disabled" is indded my problem. Otherwise a great model ...thanks to the developer. Peter Schluter
