Ive all but decided on going down the 2011 socket road but I cant seem to find any information on any new releases or improvements on these processors..

 

I can see the wiki having Haswell marked for next year but I'd like to scratch the heads of a few around here to see if anyone has any relevant information about any upcoming releases of the 2011 socket.

And looking at their release late last year, Are we about due for round 2 on the Ivy bridge hardware??

What's wrong with the i7-3930k Sandy Bridge?

I have one (a 3930K) and it's a good cpu but I haven't seen any proof that shows the extra two cores as having much effect on FSX and you could probably get a better overclock from a normal Sandybridge. Not sure if I would recommend the 3930K to be honest.
