MCP-II does not respond using PMDG 737NGX with Linda

Featured Replies

I installed the registered version of FSUIPC, Linda and FSX with SP2. If I used the VRi software, the MCP works. If I use Linda, the panel lights blink when FSX starts, but I never get past the "Select your Aircraft on FLY Now" on the MCP LCD. No buttons or knobs work. Everything is green on the Linda GUI.

This is my console output - appreciate any suggestions.

Hello Joe

I never get past the "Select your Aircraft on FLY Now" on the MCP LCD.

means, if you load the NGX, the MCP displays does not say that the NGX is loaded?

Is the NGX choosen in the LINDA GUI when you press "FSX sync"?

No, the MCP never indicates PMDG. In the Linda GUI, it does show PMDG 737NGX.

Linda does not start with FSX, even with the Start with FSX checkbox checked.

Clicking the "Reload Lua Engine" gives me a status line on the FS display, but nothing changes

Are COM ports properly set? (4)

(must so, otherwise you'll get an error message)

---

you'll find these two lines in your FSUIPC4.ini?

[VRInsight]

1=com3 [(or your com port ...4)]

[Programs]

RunIf1=F:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\linda.exe

---

you do not run VRi Software!?

---

is LINDA working with any other addon, especially with FSX standard planes?

(this is where we have to begin)

When I ran linda.exe manually, it asked if it was "ok to run". I cleared the checkbox that said to check each time, now it runs with FSX. I still don't get the MCP initialized though. I can see in the Linda console window that it recognizes the MCP on COM4

I do not run the VRi software.

I went through the FSUIPC.ini file, and deleted the referenece to the Saitek joystick, and deleted the

[Luafiles] and [MacroFiles] sections as suggested in the manual, it's working now. Not sure what the problem was.

Thanks for your help.

Joe

Glad it works!
