June 17, 200421 yr I assure you that no one this one out the door more than I do. ;-)BTW, I know my website host is in trouble before this even starts so don't even think about expecting the site to be accessible. If you want something from there, you might want to get it now. ;-)There will be no Howard 500 downloadable from my site. Get it here at AVSIM. ;-)I will release an announcement to AVSIM a day or two before release.BTW, I posted 5 sections of the Real World POH on the website. It constitutes about 1/3 of the manual. Key sections are the Operating Limitations, Operating Procedures Normal, Emergency Procedures, and Weight and Balance. These are scanned copies of 80 pages, can be downloaded, printed, holepunched and put in a binder. This is only for those interested in the RW aircraft. Obviously, all these things are not programmed into the sim model. :-)The Howard 500 package contains a very nice detailed "clickable" checklist and reference list for the kneeboard done in html. The POH is NOT necessary, but more of a neat RW thing to have.I would recommend that you read "Flying the Real Howard 500" written by the pilot, Dave Cummings. It is not only a very interesting read, it will tell you a bit about what to expect in flying this model. It sort of "juices" you up for the experience. ;-)http://www.flightsimonline.com/howard500/Howard500Flying.htmWe are still working for a more realistic radial start sequence (engine crank past 20 blades) but so far, no luck. We may have to compromise there which would be a shame as Scott did a great job of capturing those sounds and video.Scott's magic on the panels and gauges and Jo
June 17, 200421 yr "We are not gauge programmers, sound engineers, or flight dynamics experts."Funny... screenshots and info at your site would seem to contradict this. :-) Your past offerings, too, make me disagree.GregP.S. In a recent thread about the release of the Howard, Tom claimed Avsim would be ready for the demand. Me thinks we're gonna find out what the new Avsim hardware can do.
