August 9, 201213 yr Has the issue of transatlantic winds in AS2012 been raised? I did a search but couldn't find anything. In brief, last night I was doing flight planning for KBOS-EGLL. The route included LAT/LON values for the NAT (52/50 53/40 54/30, etc.). So the route I imported to AS2012 was: LBSTA ALLEX N107B DOTTY CRONO 52/50 53/40 54/30 53/20 MALOT GISTI SLANY UL9 STU UP2 OKESI Y3 BEDEK When I checked winds at cruise-level (350-370) on the NAT(Y), AS2012 was reporting values only from the high single digits to the low teens. Meanwhile, the same route imported to REX-Essential reported winds at cruise-level on the NAT from the high 40's to mid 80's, which seems a lot more accurate. FYI, I'm using DWC. Is anyone else seeing this with AS2012 SP1? Can the devs comment? Thanks. - Jev McKee, AVSIM member since 2006.
