It looks like a standard tint / reflection effect.

Sometimes developers give you the option of turning these off. I don't have the Mustang so can't comment.

How can I get rid of that tint?

You may be able to edit the window textures in dxtbmp.

Check the mustang forum.....someone has probably made this mod already.

Which one of the Mustangs are you flying, Peppy? Like I stated on the F1 Mustang forum, the "test" version of the Mustang has very tinted windows when compared to the others. I only ever used the test version (the one with the green base coat colour scheme) until I installed the High Sierra version, and I immediately noticed the difference.

OK, thanks to your info I just realised that I was always using a 3rd party Mustang repaint that, even although it was using model.standard I was actually getting the same foggy windows as model.testflight for some strange unexpected reason. That was what was confusing me. All other Mustangs that use model.standard have totally clear windows....GREAT.

Just that I never used those, just my import, which is called CUV, all I know about it has cool paintings of the horse 'Mustangs' on it and is a brown color base. Strange that it has foggy windows even though it uses the model.standard from what I read in my aircraft.cfg. Maybe it is not the model pointer that determines the tint but something in the texture folder...maybe.

Thanks for the useful help as now I can tolerate the Mustang.

Another repaint I have which is called Aurigny also has the tint without using model.testflight

To be honest, I have no idea why the windows on the test version of the Mustang are different. Why would they be??
