Standard program to Open BGL Files?

Featured Replies

What is the default program to open BGL files for FSX; All mine say Notesblok? But a scenery won't install?

I'd say it deoends on what you want. If you want to install a scenery just put the *.bgl to the MSFSX/Addon Scenery folder (not sure if manual activation is required or not) respectively the directory specified in the read me. FSX will know what to do with it. So to say the standard program for opening *.bgl files is FSX itself.

If you want to edit a scenery itself, you'd probably use Airport Design Editor (ADE) or SBuilderX.

Opening *.bgl files with notepad (or any other writing program) will only result in pages filled with loads of strange signs that noone can understand.

I realized this when I looked at my other scenery files in FSX and opened thma at properties, I'm trying to install " San Andres y Providencia" Which is where i was born. I had it ntalled in my now old dead computer. with win. 7Ult. Now I have a better one marginally, with win.7 pro. but the same scenery won't install,

If someone would be willing to give it a try?

"San Andres y Providencia" For FSX

All my other sceneries have installed correctly and when I open them to see properties they are set to open with Notesblok. One thing it doesn't respond to is the Win 7 trick of clicking on a white Space???? I wonder if there is a setting I have to change?
