Liveries

Featured Replies

Hello,

As much as I truly enjoy using VoxATC, I continue having an issue with getting extra liveries to work. The indexer picks up the aircraft types, but the Aircraft Type Name Editor only picks up the first livery in each aircraft.cfg file, which translates to me not being able to get VoxATC to initialize in anything but that one version of each plane. I have several aircraft that come with tens of liveries, so it's frustrating being confined to using this great product with only one. Has anybody else experienced this and fixed it? Any help would be appreciated!

Steelogre,

VoxATC looks for panels when installing, not liveries.

Anyway its not that difficult to install VoxATC other panels, just check the panel.cfg that is working.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "just check the panel.cfg that is working." There's only one panel.cfg file, and it works for one livery.

Since I don't think you quite get what I'm saying, let me elaborate:

The VRS SuperBug comes with over 40 different texture sets (liveries). They all use the same model and panel, so there's one universal panel.cfg file that applies to every single texture set. There is only a single aircraft.cfg file as well. I have many add-on aircraft that use this exact same organizational method (i.e. one model, one panel, many different texture sets). Even though the indexer and the panel utility break every aircraft down into type (i.e. P-51, C172, etc.)., the Aircraft Type Name Editor only picks up on whatever is the first entry in each aircraft.cfg file, and when I get into FSX only that first aircraft works with VoxATC.

This problem is not isolated to the VRS SuperBug, it is true for every aircraft I have with multiple texture sets/liveries. If it is an easily solved issue, please tell me how to do it - I really want to use this program with all of my aircraft.

I think you should have elaborated from the start, but anyway, try adding VoxATC to the the standard C172.

It has five liveries and should show up on each one.

that is a strange problem, all my Addon aircrafts that share the same panel.cfg file are working fine with VoxATC
