Scenery appearing from nowhere

I'd like to say I've searched the forum for the answer to my question, but for some reason I can't get the search function to work at all.

I'm 99% sure the problem is at my end, the internet here never seems to work exactly how it should...

 

But anyway, the question is :- is there a workaround for FS2004 scenery just popping up out of nowhere ?

I don't mind it happening in the distance so much, but when it's a runway marker at 30 yards or a 747 at 100 yards it's a little disconcerting...

 

Otherwise FS2004 runs great, pegged at 30fps with all sliders at maximum

Does this happen everywhere or is it just with one particular scenery? It could have something to do with how the author created the scenery

This is typically due to static objects that have a lower LOD with nothing in them, or using old FS2000 style objects that will do that.
