  1. 120 views and not one reply. Outstanding
  2. I'm a couple of screenshots away from the Paypal button here
  3. Does it really look that good ? The only direct experience I have of UK2000 scenery is some of the ancient FS2004 freeware ( which isn't really all that good, with the cardboard cutout trees - but hey, it's free ) I have seen screenshots of UK2000 FSX scenery which are very impressive but I don't have enough computer BMEP to run FSX. Got to give the guy credit for still supporting FS2004...
  4. Fair comment. But that 'beep' - whoever thought that anyone might want to hear that noise was insane. I can't imagine what was going off in their heads...and to turn it off you have to find it hiding somewhere in the control panel\devices tab. On my first XP machine I had to pull the wires out of the internal speaker, but now I know where it's lurking and how to kill it...
  5. I'd like to say I've searched the forum for the answer to my question, but for some reason I can't get the search function to work at all. I'm 99% sure the problem is at my end, the internet here never seems to work exactly how it should... But anyway, the question is :- is there a workaround for FS2004 scenery just popping up out of nowhere ? I don't mind it happening in the distance so much, but when it's a runway marker at 30 yards or a 747 at 100 yards it's a little disconcerting... Otherwise FS2004 runs great, pegged at 30fps with all sliders at maximum
  6. Mipmap manager left weird looking artefacts on some of the texture tiles in my FS9 install, anyone using it should be aware of this possibility. I hadn't backed up my textures of course, I'm an idiot :P
  7. This thread was linked in the forum of my VA, and has finally got me off my backside to join Avsim. Big thanks to Neumanix for the DXT3 fixer. I didn't have many scenery textures that needed modifying, but what looked like every single texture file for the Maddog VC was without an alpha channel. Massive improvement in loading time. Edit :- You beat me to it Kaan :)
