Recommendations for AI traffic for FS2004

Featured Replies

Folks,What do you recommend for a program that will provide me lots of AI traffic, world-wide? I'd like one that included the planes, so it's a mindless install.Jon

Either Traffic 2004 or Ultimate Traffic should fit the bill nicely. I own Traffic 2004 and I'm very happy with it.

Thanks, Steven. I note they are the same price, but there are more flights with Ultimate Traffic.Anybody had problems with the airport upgrades in these products conflicting with other add-ons, freeware or otherwise? How about frame rate hits? How do the products compare?Jon

Note sure about FPS with those payware products but I know project AI does a fab job on AI traffic and they have plenty of it coming and going from many airports.See you in the fence...CYYZ

I use Ultimate Traffic - it's great. Frame rates are what you should expect after adding all that AI, at a large airport with 100 percent AI it could really slow you down but you do have control. UT will add AFCADS for the airports it uses to provide extra gates but if you have addon stuff you can select not to overwrite these.Hope this helps you.

Hi,Just wanted to say that I also own MyTraffic 2004 v2 and like it a lot. As Steven said, either UT or MT 2004 will fit the bill nicely. UT is based on real world flights and has mostly Jetliner traffic. MyTraffic is not based on real world flight plans. But it has more traffic at night because of this, and, it adds quite a few GA Aircraft and flights. UT might add some GA traffic but I think it only uses default planes for this. If you get UT you can get a utility called something like GA-Traffic to add your own GA Aircraft and traffic to the sim. But my understanding is that you have to do some fiddling in order to add those GA planes and you have to be a little careful as to just what aircraft you add, otherwise you get a bad framerate hit.Hope that helps,Jim
