August 27, 201213 yr Hi: I was recently reading a review of the Piaggio P-180 from Wilco Pub. by Allen Lavigne and I noticed he mentioned trying it in (basically) three different modes: DirectX 9, DirectX 10 (Preview), and ... (drumroll please) ... DIRECTX 11!! I had to keep re-reading that last bit, as I was unaware there was any DX11 support for FSX. In fact, the DX10 support is questionable of course, so I am really intrigued as to what he meant by this, and is there some way to use DX11 with FSX? I tried emailing Allen directly to inquire, but his email address is no longer valid. Thanks, Tim
August 27, 201213 yr FSX was developed for DX9 technology. When Acceleration was developed, the developers gave FSX the DX10 preview option. FSX is not DX11 capable but a DX11 video card can be used to for graphics in FSX. FSX will just use DX9. Best regards, Jim
August 27, 201213 yr a DX11 card can run dx10 FSX provided he has Acceleration installed. There is no DX11 mode.
