  1. Also bummed to find I came to the party a bit too late. I have been running DX10 with great success (for the most part) for some time now, but missed cockpit shadows in my PBY Cat. I was under the impression Steve's software would fix this (and more(!) of course). Am I correct in this assumption? Is there any other software that might fix cockpit shadowing issues? Thanks, Tim
  2. Hurh? Sorry, but I never mentioned you, quoted you, or said I was speaking on your behalf. Not sure how you became confused in this regard? (Unless I'm missing something.) And sorry, what exactly is "proper language" ?? I thought my language was perfectly proper and civil. Pointed an (perhaps) passionate ... but nothing improper. And yes, we're in total agreement ... it is up to the developer to fix the demo ... that was my point, and I was clearly addressing them.
  3. Like many, I was/am skeptical at first ... especially after owning FSX Accel. and getting very mixed results. However, after seeing the screenshots I was VERY skeptical ... why does it show an example with the highest minimum frame rate requiring the least CPU, graphics, etc.?? And the remainder of images seem to follow no logic either. Or am I just not interpreting (or understanding) those images correctly? Finally, even if it does work (which would be great), the price is just too steep for me right now. Hopefully they will have a new release sale or something in the near future.
  4. Hi: I was recently reading a review of the Piaggio P-180 from Wilco Pub. by Allen Lavigne and I noticed he mentioned trying it in (basically) three different modes: DirectX 9, DirectX 10 (Preview), and ... (drumroll please) ... DIRECTX 11!! I had to keep re-reading that last bit, as I was unaware there was any DX11 support for FSX. In fact, the DX10 support is questionable of course, so I am really intrigued as to what he meant by this, and is there some way to use DX11 with FSX? I tried emailing Allen directly to inquire, but his email address is no longer valid. Thanks, Tim
