January 7, 201313 yr Author I'm not seeing the attachments in the OP. For example, all I see for the first set of data mentioned is: Is it just me, or have the attachments been removed? Hi Vic, I've leared that images hosted at Avsim will dissappear after a while. I've now uploaded the images to dropbox. They are now available here: https://www.dropbox....tp/(15)ATTO.GIF https://www.dropbox....iwzvd/ATTO2.GIF https://www.dropbox....nalResults2.GIF https://www.dropbox....h5400rpmHDD.gif I hope this helps.
January 7, 201313 yr Pretty rare... Just stick with the big ones and you will likely be fine. (OCZ, Samsung, Crucial, ADATA, etc) Intel is probably the best bet if you are concerned with reliability. They tend to be more conservative with new features and firmware updates, and are far more thorough in testing. They are also more focused on the high end and enterprise markets where reliability is paramount. Samsung is pretty good as well. OCZ has stated they are go using more on testing and validation of their drives. Previously they had a tendency to want to be first to market over thorough testing.
January 19, 201313 yr Hello, Thanks for your work SAAB340. I am currently thinking about a first build and I am seeking informations about the best setup regarding memory devices. As I know nothing about technical stuff, I find it hard to understand your conclusion about what is best for FSX. Could you please explain it in a simplier way for me? I am on a tight budget and at first wanted to skip SSD and use only good HDD, one for the OS and one for FSX/DCS. Or I could buy a big SSD and put all on it...all my simple data are already stored on external HDD and I use only a few photoreal scenery if it matters. I would be glad to have some advices Best regards, Pierre Lainé
