Displaying destination airport on the Captain's Navigation Display?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm pretty new to the 737NGX and have this question about setting up the flightplan in the FMC/CDU.

When select PLN instead of the MAP on the knob on the panel left of the autopilot (MCP) console I can see the departure airport as well as the SID I select on the Captain's Navigation Display screen (middle screen).

Question: Is there any way to display (or center the display) on the destination airport?

I think I did this in the 737 Pilot in Command but I forgot how... at least it makes it way easier to select the right STAR without having to resort to charts... and even with the charts to double check the destination part of the flightplan when I'm far from the destination.

Thanks for any help,

While in legs mode you can use STEP LSK6R and PREV PAGE/NEXT PAGE keys to navigate through waypoints. You can choose STAR and then navigate through it or you can select the last waypoint of your route and see selected STAR.

You can enter destination ICAO code into legs page and center map on it.
