August 29, 201213 yr I recently purchased Iris Simulations' C27J Spartan, which has its share of problems. Knowing little of aircraft design, here are three things I'd like to know are fxable or not: 1) She rolls heavily from side to side while taxiing - in fact, she even crashed once whole taxiing in a moderate crosswind. M solution has been to reduce the "General" realism slider somewhat to compensate. I was wondering if there was a simple setting in the aircraft.cfg file which could fix this, or if that might end up muddying flight dynamics as well? (This fuselage roll issue crops up on other turboprops as well, such as the Capt SIm C130 - but not the PMDG JS41!) 2) The aircraft is supposed to have a ferry range of 3,200 miles, but gets more like 1,800. Seems one option is to change the fuel tank capacity, but I don't know if that will throw the weight dynamics off. Thought a simpler solution might be to adjust the engine fuel consumption - is this possible? 3) A few of the sounds, such as flaps and gear, are nearly imperceptible. Is there a way to adjust the native volume of those .wav files? I've tried emailing Iris support to no avail - they seem to have multiple web sites but it's hard to find a support section. Hans Soule

Remember ferry range is with virtually no payload, and typically using quite low power levels. It may also be using special "ferry fuel tanks" in the fuselage. If you are using "normal cruise" values I wouldn't expect anything close to 3200 NM. Normal range according to Google is 1151 miles. Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
September 1, 201213 yr Author Thanks, I made a rather random adjustment to the contact points and that solved the problem. Hans Soule
