The first serious response to the OP besides the initial $500-600response (which follows Tech's advice). Making any further upgrades to the OP rig will gain no tangible performance gains in FSX. Save that $150, because it isn't going to get you anywhere. I can't count how many times someone comes into the forum with your same, exact question. The answer is the same!

 

OP: Be reasonable with what you're asking of the AMD rig. It should be able to handle what you throw at it if you keep the settings medium and properly tweak the fsx.cfg.
