Orbx airport - scenery for soaring

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

Can you, please, suggest some airport (or area) from ORBX that is most suitable for soaring in glider plane.

Thank you in advance.

Not done much gliding but I did notice that part of the scenery at Paraparaumu airfield (NZNI) has a number of static gliders and people next to one of the taxiways? Call up a tow plane and give it a go?

Funnily enough, my gliding club has it's own ORBX addon... Cunderdin Airfield YCUN in Western Australia! Some of the best thermal soaring in the country B) Paired up with CumulusX I soar around here just like in real life.

Mind you, if you're used to grand mountain ranges and thrilling ridge running, you might be a bit shocked by the wide open expanse of the Western Australian wheatbelt.

Cheers,

Derek
