Living with Magic

Featured Replies

There are so many things happening around us; so much change racing along so fast that we often just take our technology for granted without even thinking what it means and just how far the human race has come.

But for me, every once in a while, I see a thing and have to settle back and go wow! We are living with magic and don't even know it.

This week its voice response. I see this, and immediately my imagination goes into warp and fly's years ahead to see the whole world changing (again)

Imagine when these types of systems are everywhere, all synced through your phone, your house, your car......... and more. Great, and scary as heck all in one. Imagine your glasses projecting data in front of your eyes as you talk, living in a world even more awash with instant information than now. Texting becoming something for grandparents, when you can speak aloud or even sub-vocalize to a throat mic........

The possibilities spew everywhere like an explosion.....

Sound far-fetched? Look up "Project glass" by Google. Or Watch the second video. (These are estimated to be available by the end of the year!!)

I have also seen technical papers going back as far as 2009 discussing prototypes of digital contact lenses, and that work is much further along, now. http://www.businessinsider.com/augmented-reality-contact-lenses-2012-7

We are living with magic.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.
