September 4, 201213 yr Hello, First of all I apologise for my bad english: it's not my mother language.... As said I just plug a new GeForce 670 on my motherboard: it's really noisy, the two fans are rotating at their maximum level, but only during the boot. As soon as it "reaches" the Windows seven logo it started to decrease. So not a big deal when playing / working with the computer, but I just wonder if that's normal, and if there is any trick or fix for that "problem"....owning previously a 560Ti...never heard such a sound when booting my PC or "working" in the Bios. Thanks for any help Cheers Cedric
September 4, 201213 yr If you are using one of the newer ASUS motherboards it could be due to that. The software controlling fan speeds will ramp up all fans in your computer to max initially then gradually lower the rpm to minimum levels in order to calculate optimum cooling depending on your preferred settings. September 4, 201213 yr All the GPUs and MOBOs I've used the last 7 years have had that "feature" so it's a normal thing. It's just that some GPUs have a fan that is way more noticable than others at high speed...
