Dam Busters

Some time ago there was mention of a TV program using FS software about the Dam Busters.Those programs have just been shown on UK TV Channel 4 and I understand have been, or will be, shown on Discovery I think.Although the s/ware did not make make a particularly big impression on TV the whole program gave you a new respect for all the crews involved.For example I knew that the bouncing bomb had to be dropped very low but did not realise it had to be dropped from 60 feet originally, only later was it raised to 100ft.I also did not realise that most of the trip, about 6 hours, was flown at not much higher than 100ft, and at night.It was interesting to see a team of new RAF pilots getting to grips with navigation from those days, no help from FMCs, GPS, and all the other modern avionics. Just maps, whizz wheels, stop watches and the good old mark 1 eye-ball.If you get change to see the program I recommend it.
