September 10, 201213 yr Hey.... I'm just now getting to know FSX. I recently built my own CPU with i7 chip in my MOBO asus p8768-v with two gforce 550 ti (SLI) and WD blue 500 g and 4000ram. Plus I have almost all the saitek instruments. I'll display my set up later. Anyway..... I'm sure this is or has been addressed before, but I recently installed FSX gold delux w/ accelerator pack on my win7 64. So I noticed after a few add ons I installed (UTX, REX, ect...) all the good stuff. Then my FSX was slowing down and not loading much at all. The scenery looked like nothing was added. Then I couldn't even install GEX USA. I get the MSG that my OS is not compatible with software. It then would not download. After all this aggravation. I read this article http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-gaming/vista-driver-uiautomationcoredll-crashes-flight/3e813f3f-1f61-40f5-8ae9-fbd4b3232a54 That's when I noticed my windows stop converting to x32. I loaded up a download from that forum that at end of first page gives the link and directions how to fix it. SIMPLE. WELL MY FSX HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER...IT WORKS FAST AGAIN, FLUID, AND LOADS UP QUICKLY. Well I just wanted to make my first post a good one rather than a crabby troll and maybe offer someone else the chance to fix what my issue was. Good job all... This one of the best sites for fsx. I learned so much and now I can finish building my real plane cockpit. I'll be back again... Til then, remember my name jpflex66. I would like some expert advanced advice and maybe good help to achieving the best FSX looking sim.
September 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Welcome, Avsim is indeed amazing site, so full of information and friendly people always willing to help. Yeah uiautomationcore tweak is pretty much must have, prevents a lot of crashes.
September 10, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the greeting. I just started this new hobby and always loved planes. I first learned the basic fundamentals of aircraft terminology, instrument use, and around aviation about two years ago from a basic flight sim on my iPad. Then I walked into a electronic store that's very well known to have everything, called Frys⏎{sorry in advance I'm not trying to spam or violate forum policy}. I walked out with $500 worth of saitek products. Went from my wife's laptop to being thrilled enough by FSX and today owning my self built CPU & really cool home cockpit on my 52" LCD. As of today, in last three months of starting all this, I had invested already approximately $2000 in hardware & software. It's well worth all of it. But not to get off topic, just glad this place exists. Never knew before that flight sim was such a huge fan based fun hobby with thousands of things you can do with just purchasing a $30 software sim.... Thanks
September 10, 201213 yr Author As for my tweak I learned to discovery by researching ༄༅༄༅༄༅ UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL༄༅༄༅༄༅ ✦✧ ✦✧if any one running windows 7 ✗64 installed with FSX delux gold ►◄acceleration pkg ✦✧✦✧ ✾✤ check to see in your main directory FSX if the above DDL file is copied in there somewhere✾✤ __↑↑↑if not or don't know, you will notice cause FSX will run like its on a commador 64system_________ ☢☣☢☣I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DOWNLOAD THE FILE✑✑copy it to FSX main directory☢☣☢☣ Trust me you will be thankful you checked...I did & it made huge difference.. I was told this same thing I wrote by another person and I know why he said it... ☢☣☢☣I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DOWNLOAD THE FILE✑✑copy it to FSX main directory☢☣☢☣
September 10, 201213 yr The older version of UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL does help, but it really only delays the eventual issue. Typically, most do not run FSX long enough to see this, but even with the old version of UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL, eventually you will have the same issues. What is ironic, is that FS does NOT need UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL !!! Neither do 99.9% of the programs that most people run. (Visual Studio needs it !! ) So, another way to 100% eliminate the UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL issues, is to remove UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL from your system. FSX will run happily without it !!. If you really do need UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL for a particular program, then you can put back the original Windows 7 version, in the same folder as the program that needs it. (FSX will not see it there !!). Or, another alternative, you can keep the windows version of UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL intact, and put in a STUB version UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DDL into the FSX folder... ( just needs someone to make a STUB version !! )
September 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Well I haven't removed it and really even during +11 hour flights I have no problems.
September 11, 201213 yr Author Well I wouldn't mind doing whatever I need to make my fsx better... I just need the easier way of doing it some ways are way to misinterpreting. For example. That ******* web site thing to help tweak fsx ... All it did was make me have to do a systems restore of windows. That site doesn't do nothing for me but damage
