September 26, 201213 yr Is there anyone out there who can give me the final word on which is better - Liquid Metal Pro or Ultra. Some say Pro is harder to use but so far I have found Ultra almost impossible to spread evenly so I went with Pro which I used much more easily. If there is no great difference in terms of performance I will stick with the Pro. Others say Pro is better for flat surfaces like lapped IHS's and cooler pads. Any thoughts?

You just answered your question. Whatever works best for you! =) I use Ultra because it is what I used and it works outstanding for me. I have not tried Pro but don't plan on to because like I said, Ultra gets the job done for me. Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
September 26, 201213 yr I've used both. Ultra was easier to spread, but that's largely because they included a couple little brushes to apply it with and pro only came with a q-tip (horrible application method IMHO). Pro took me several times longer to apply than Ultra. It does produce slightly better results though, perhaps a couple degrees. Hard to say since I lapped my IHS and waterblock at the same time as switching to LMP. Bottom line, if you have a tiny paint brush or two handy, go with Pro.
September 27, 201213 yr Author Thanks Bimmercop and TechguyMaxC. You two guys always reply with good advice. If either of you are ever in Melbourne, Australia I'll buy you a beer or two! Those who have a preference seem to go for Pro. Its not often in life that the cheaper product is also the better product. For that reason I expected everyone to tell me Ultra is better.
