Guys

In the next few weeks I intend to upgrade and purchase a new CPU, MB and RAM. I currently have an E6850 (o/c to 3.5) with 6gb of DDR2 ram (800 Mhz).

I know that the I5 2500K gets very good wraps, however as they have been superceeded by the new Ivy Bridge, I was wondering if it is still the chip to get. I understand that the Ivy Bridge can run hot so I was wondering what chip to get. Do I get an i5 2500K or do I get a newer model? It will mainly be used for FSX.

Also, can anyone recommend a good motherboard to go with it.

I will be keeping my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti.

Many many thanks for any replies.

John

Budget will be about 500 or 600 Aussie dollars for cpu, m/b and ram. I can go higher or lower.
