Some strange effects

Just wondered if anyone else had seen this or not

This only happens in dx10 mode and never in dx9 but when you change views ie from external view then back to the vc all the paneling flickers blue and shows the fsx logo very briefly (under a second or two) then the paneling returns to normal.

This has happened in both default and pmdg a/c,while this is no great problem I just wondered if anyone else has or had this?

I've been looking around but can't find it but was there a post that show how to stop the glow that bloom causes on external views of aircraft or is it simply turn bloom off?

thanks all

Pete Little

Yep - it will always happen with DX9 or 10 under a heavy graphics load - until it is cached in memory. You don't notice it so much in DX9, as it's black or grey, not blue, and also because in DX9 you can't have as much graphics data to load. DX10 doesn't replicate its memory space into the main system memory - that means you have more space in the system memory, more graphics and less OOM's!!

There is a post regarding Bloom Tuning on Steve's website, here, and it's now part of the How-To doc & pdf.

Hope this helps, Pete.
