October 11, 201213 yr Our laptop, whenever it's in the kitchen (router downstairs) gets kicked off the network momentarily... and has to acquire signal again. This happens multiple times per day. I ran this program to see what other AP's are our there and found this one labeled "HOME" spiking every few seconds. Do you think there is interference from this router? It's probably my neighbor's located less than 100 ft away. It also shares the same channel as ours (buttercupagain). Also I theorized it could be the antenna in the laptop... we've had the thing for only 3 years. If you go into your router's setup menu, you should be able to move it to a different channel. If the problem is being caused by a conflict with your neighbor's network, that should improve your laptop's connection stability.
