Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my pc from and intel i7 920 Quad Core LGA1366 2.66GHX (overclocked to 3.6ghz) to an i7 3930k 6 core 12mb 3.2 ghz hyperthreading unlocked processor that can be overclocked to ?? not sure. With associated motherboard and memory upgrades it going to run around $1000. Is this worth it? I need to do something to keep my enjoying of FSX going. Add ons and more detail is what I want so is this the right place to invest some cash?

 

ps I'm not computer savie.

Well, you probably will see a bit of a performance increase, but not a ton. FSX still makes very limited use of more than 2 cores.
