October 15, 201213 yr HI Guys, I have recently purchased the J41,however I am having a few problems, the load manager appears when I want it but the mouse won't click on the various icons to make things appear/dissappear,I can't seem to get any radios to work or the transponder, the FMC is working but I can't click it into 2D view other than using the shift key.I have only recently started using FSX and had to download the SP1 pack to install the J41,I don't have the SP2 installed or the acceleration? download. My system is a 3ghz dual core intel processor,4gb ram, nvidea gt520 1gb graphics card.I don't have any other third party aircraft as I was hoping to concentrate on the J41.I have tried re-installing but if anything it has made matters worse, thanks for any help, Waffles
October 15, 201213 yr Sometimes the clicks stop working and if I center trackir it fixes it. Something about the view angle. Do you also have trackir?
October 15, 201213 yr I believe you need FSX SP1 and SP2 installed before you install the J41; I don't believe any developers are actively supporting pre-SP2. Also have you applied the highmemfix in fsx.cfg because running the J41 without that creates problems for me. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
October 15, 201213 yr Author Not running track IR,will install SP2 and see what happens, not heard of highmemfix, what is it and where can I get it from? Thanks for the replies,I am brand new to FSX after using FS9 for the last few years so sounds like I need to do a lot of catching up to get to up to speed, thanks again for your help.
October 16, 201213 yr Highmemfix allows FSX to correctly handle large amounts of RAM and graphics memory (VRAM). Open fsx.CFG in Notepad, you can access it by copy and pasting the following in to the address bar of My Computer, Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer:Windows7- %appdata%\Microsoft\FSXWindows XP- <DRIVE>\Documents and Settings\<WINDOWS USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX Find the section which begins [GRAPHICS], add a new line directly underneath and insert this text: Highmemfix=1 Save and exit Please note you may need to enable hidden files and folders on your operating system. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
