July 9, 200421 yr I would try locking the FPS at 24 and give the processor a chance to take care of other things instead of trying to get the frames to 40.Chuck
July 9, 200421 yr Do you have any of the Airport Environment Upgrade packages by Chris Arrington installed? Some of the high detail versions can cause that, especially on a lower-end videocard like the 5200. -
July 9, 200421 yr Don't fly with the GPS on screen, doing that got rid of most stutters I ever had. The other thing I did that got rid of the rest of the stutters was to delete all 2D panels (except for gauges not found in a particular DVC). Doing it the other way around will also work if you prefer the 2D panels, delete the VC section of the DVC, either way FS will have half as many gauges to keep track of.
July 12, 200421 yr Guys,Thanks for the ideas. I tried all of them and the stutters are still there. I even installed the default runway textures and reduced textures. I know my clouds are in DXT formats
July 12, 200421 yr Author You could try zipping up (or deleting) default.xml in the autogen folder - just make sure you can but it back if you miss grain silos and water towers and stuff like that... [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
