December 1, 201213 yr Author Since the topic's resurfaced, a quick update about what I've done since posting. Not too much really. I did switch to MegasceneryX SoCal, mostly for the additional autogen to add some dimension to what otherwise seems like a lifeless city and (at the time) for San Diego, though Blue Sky has since added that area. I also broke down and bought FSDT's KLAS, as I just couldn't stand the looks of any of the GA fields in the area, and the GA areas off Rwy 1L/19R at default KLAS looked pretty bleak butted up against the detail of the strip. That solution has worked OK, as FSDT's airport is certainly nice, but it's frustrating too as most of the detail of the field is wasted on me as a GA flyer off on one corner of the airport. And while I'm happy with the Aerosoft LA City product, I evaluated and decided to pass on the Las Vegas version, as default (Acceleration default that is) plus what I already have serves quite well. In some ways, Aerosoft's Las Vegas seems a step back from what default Acceleration offers. I'm mostly happy with what I've got, but still wish there were better GA airport choices. KSNA is probably my favorite in the LA area - the default field is OK, but the Cities enhancements do a good job of making the approach look like it should. I may eventually add KLAX, but my frugal side hates the fact that I'd again mostly be wasting the features of the airport. I still need to take the time to look at some of the freeware options as several of you have recommended. As for getting into the Phoenix area, I still haven't decided what to do, and to the north I'm waiting for Orbx NorCal. I still have a bit of a love/hate relationship with photoscenery, and have really grown to appreciate that one of the best parts of an Orbx region is that they update all of the airports in each region to a level well beyond default. For you airliner guys it isn't so important, but for a GA flyer it really helps. At it's best, photoscenery is awesome, but I admit to being a bit of an airport junky and on the ground at most GA and regional airports, well... Scott
