October 20, 201213 yr Hi, I posted thiss problem in the Carenado forum but still have not solved it. I have the Carenado Cessna 182RG and decided to try and imprive on the engine sounds. I purchased the Arezone Cessna 182RG sound set and it makes a world of difference. No looping, very realistic, and a much better touchdown screech and roll. I checked all sound files in the Sound directory and all are there and work when clicked on. The problem is when I set flaps within the sim there is no sound at all. All other cockpit sounds work fine but not the flaps. The file is there in the directory and works fine. Any ideas?? Thanks. Tom
October 21, 201213 yr In the FSX Sounds settings make sure all the different sound options are ticked and the sliders are up high enough. Also, do you have AccuFeel installed? That has sound settings for various aircraft and maybe that program is disabled for your aircraft. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! October 21, 201213 yr Author Hi Jim, Thanks for the help. I checked and my FSX settings are all ticked and all sliders are at 100%. Also, I do not have AccuFeel. I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of the aircraft files but I would think that if the aircraft CFG. file is correctly installed which it seems to be, it should point correctly to the right sound file. i'm just curious as to why it won't work. Thanks again. Tom
October 21, 201213 yr Author Hi Jim, Well, I solved the problem. It seems the soundset developer overlooked a mistake. The sound file name is "C182flaps", but in the Sound.cfg file the name is listed as "C182RGflaps". I renamed the sound file to this and it works fine. This appears to be the only error they made. Thanks again for your suggestions. Tom
