FSX with Windows 8

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been running Windows 8 RTM since it was released to IT Pros but I am having serious issues with the blurries on FSX. I have an i5 @ 4Ghz, 4GB RAM, SSD, GTX560Ti but yet I can't get it running as well as I had it on Windows 7.

Anyone else experiencing the same? I'm sure somebody somewhere is using Win 8 with FSX. I'm not sure if there is something restricting the loading of textures but they seem to pop into view blurred and then refocus very slowly into a sharper texture.

Running the latest drivers from nvidia too. UAC and Smartscreen disabled, FSX at the root of C:

Any help would be much appreciated.

I will give the older drivers a try.

See screenshot which better explains my issues. I am using nVidia Inspector which is configured as per Kostas guide. The a/c looks fine - ground textures look awful.
