Livery Manager does not update aircraft.cfg

Featured Replies

Hey there,

I have bought a new PC and had to do a clean reinstall of everything, including FSX, the 747NGX etc. It all works fine now, except this time round the Liveries Manager does not work properly.

I can select and install liveries with no error message, however they never show up in FSX - only the default PMDG ones.

On closer inspection of the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737.... directories I can see that the livery files are there all right, but the aircraft.cfg file has not been changed a bit. An aircraft.cfg_old has been created, and according to the time stamp a new aircraft.cfg has been written, but it is completely unchanged from the original one. .cfg and .cfg_old are identical.

I also checked for write protection but everything is in order.

What has gone wrong?

Regards MajikthiseD

have you ticked the show all variants in the fsx options?
