October 28, 201213 yr I'm looking for UK airport addons. I know of UK2000Scenery but I find EGKK to be very bulky and quite a large FPS hit just sitting on the active runway. With Uk2000 installed I get 15-30 on the ground and without it, 60-100, So, I'm looking for aternatives . Michael Pearce

October 28, 201213 yr There is nothing better than UK2000 for UK. Not even slightly worse. There is one airport, EGLL, from Aerosoft, which I think has only slighly better frames, but is visually worse. I don't understand why your performance suffers this much. I have UK2000 EGKK, EGLL and some others, and at EGKK I get well over 50fps in the external view overviewing the airport. Maybe get into FSX tweaking, before you give up. October 28, 201213 yr Mike Don't know if you're aware, but as an alternative to UK2000 airports you might like to consider.... UK2000 airfields. Their "VFR Airfields" collections, in addition to what you'd normally think of as airfields, includes "lite" versions of the major UK airports, e.g. the Londons, Manchester, East Midlands, Liverpool John Lennon etc. Not as much detail as a full standalone "Xtreme" scenery, but still a massive improvement over the default and pretty good value if you want to do lots of short haul domestic flights in the UK. These may or may not suit your needs, but I thought it worth mentioning since it's easy to miss the fact that they included international airports in a package labelled "airfields". October 28, 201213 yr I have extreme Manchester EGCC , works fine . Also I gather that the UK2000 will work in conjunction with the new about to be released fantastic ORBX FTX UK scenery . ORBX will be releasing some airports in the future. For military bases try the freeware UKMIL , I have several and think they are great. Cheers Karol
