FS weather crashes FS9

Featured Replies

When i load a flight with weather, FS9 crashes a 77% loaded (weather). If i load a flight with cleared weather, then load a weather theme, or custom weather, FS crashes.HELP!Dave Chapman

The same happens to me to. I can alter the weather, but if I load a theme, then it will crash. I like to have control over the weather anyway, but I agree it is kind of anoying. The best advice I can give is to either create your own weather before every flight or use the default and wait until the scene loads then select the weather theme you want to use.:D

Hi , make sure you have Render to Texture Option enable.Regards,Pedro

Agree with the other poster - you've got a DXT3 cloud texture which requires render to texture to be on in display options. No clouds = no crash!Best,sg

Yesterday i managed to fly from Manchester to Cardiff and back again, IN WEATHER! :)What i did was, just have a little pause after each selection in the weather menus.Loads fine now!Chacked render to texture was on, it already was, so that wasn't the problem. If anyone calls in with this problem in the future, tell them to take it easy in the menus and pause before hitting OK.Thanks for your help.Dave Chapman
