Hi guys!

 

As the topic suggests, what is the best looking/most realistic freeware water for FSX? I read about the FS Water Configurator which seems great but since that as I understand it will only use default FSX water textures are there also any good freeware water textures to use together with FSWC?

 

And what about the waves and what the surface of the water looks like, will I be able to modify that with FSWC too or are there any other/better ways?

Fs Water Configurator has eight different sliders to adjust the reflection from the water and thus the surface of the water. It has fifteen preset selections as well. Adjusting these sliders will make the water surface appear wavier and different in color. It is a good, easy to learn program and gets amazing results. Best of all it is freeware, and even has a support forum. Here is a link to the web site.

Give it a try. If you don't like it, it has a button that will return everyting to default.
