November 17, 201213 yr Gents, I had my first flights in the T-44C this week (C90A retrofitted with Proline 21) and figured I would not how well Carenado has portrayed this aircraft. We are all always in the pursuit of "As Real as it Gets" so I thought I would let you guys know that I actually use the Carenado C90 to practice my single-engine and instrument work. It flys very well and acts as well as you could ask for an aircraft limited by the FSX engine. That being said just flying the T-44 in general has been awesome, easy to fly and easy to land, and much more comfortable than the aircraft I just flew (T-6B). If anyone has any questions or scenarios about the aircraft please send me a message and I'll try to give an answer or find out, I just want to be able to give back to this great community in some way. -Matt
November 23, 201213 yr Hey Matt, Congrats for your first flight in a T-44C. I agree, Carenado IMHO has broken the tiny line between a plane-for-fun and a procedural plane, despite the wonderful exterior-interior that makes you feel how is like the real thing. I'm also a real life pilot (now retired) and I just tried a long flight in my C90B, very close to the limit range according to Beech site http://www.hawkerbeechcraft.com/beechcraft/king_air_c90gtx/ ok, I know this is referenced to the C90GTX but it wouldn't change too much to compare the performance of this magnificent simulation. I've applied the two service packs and flew from MMTJ to MMCB with full fuel tanks, it took me over 4 hours and arrived to my destination with just ten percent of the total fuel in the tanks. Sure I didn't planned an alternate airport but just wanted to try how far Carenado has gone in this simulation and it is pretty close to that real specs. I never flew the C90 but I flew some turboprops and sure it was a very recreative experience, and did my test flight according to the performance tables both the ones that come with the download and those you can get from the net. December 25, 201213 yr Have you ever replicated a flight in the sim after the real thing and compare some of the phases? C.
December 27, 201213 yr Have you ever replicated a flight in the sim after the real thing and compare some of the phases? C. TO be more specific, i love when pilots describe a real flight where they describe the phases and settings and resulting speeds, climb rates, descents, approach and landing configuration and resultant speeds where we can replicate the trip and really put the model to the test.
