Carb Heat?

Featured Replies

Hi, this is just a question to satisify my curiosity. Is the carb heat part of the model? I was recently flying in the northwest US in the Carenado 172N and ran into some pretty bad carb icing. As soon as the rpm dropped I pulled the carb heat on and it took about 5 minutes before I started getting rpm back. That got me to wondering if there was a scalar to adjust the carb heat. I've messed around in the cfg file before and even did some adjusting in the air file (mainly because Carenado don't know didly about how a real plane flies, I can't wait for the A2A and Realair 172s to come out), but I've never seen any mention of the carb heat. Where is this modeled? Just curious.
