IFR cancelled on approach

Featured Replies

Maybe I'm making a mistake here, but wouldn't a wrong/offset LOC course for a runway only lead to a go around command (if anything at all)?. I just can't pretend that ATC would cancel your flight plan just because you're approaching the RWY in a wrong direction? From how I understand ATC logic, that would only cause ATC not to clear you for landing!

To the OP: Could you please quote a transscript of the last few ATC transmissions made before your flightplan was canelled (best would be from the last command ATC gave you down to the end)? Just copy/paste them from the kneeboard, maybe we can see if you did something wrong, and if so what.

Also, can you give us details about your flight, i.e. route, weather, active RWYs, airport addons used(mainly the respective arrival airport)? I'd like to replicate that flight as closely as possible, and see what happens on my rig.

I've taken a look at it, but what stops me from trying it out is not having Progressive Taxi. Also, how does it deal with added callsigns from EditVoicepack?

Yes, not having progressive taxi is a bit of a hassle. There is an add-on called "Airport GPS" which helps with that. Find if here. One of the members of our VA uses it and speaks well about it. I cannot speak as to callsigns and EditvoicePack, but I'm betting a search on the Radar Contact help page will find more than a few results that might answer your question.
