Having issues with weather loading

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I brought Opus last night, and had a quick test flight and worked perfect (could get metar for dep and arr airports)

However today i have loaded up at EGBB, and I’m getting no METAR for EGBB at all, and i tried it at EGPH and the same, no weather... (When i click on Weather report in FSX its saying ''No Weather Avalible at Present'' ) ??

Any ideas??

Cheers

Hi Adam

It works OK here.

What version do you have, have you upgraded to the beta? Have you checked your Configuration and Weather dialogs carefully if you have upgraded since they can get corrupted, i.e. the Import from METAR file option may be ticked.

If you haven't upgraded have you opened the spy window and forced a weather update to see if the METARs are displayed? Is your internet connection OK? Is there a problem downloading the GRIB data if you are using it?

Hi Cheryl,

thanks for the reply, i've sorted it now, it seems i needed to ''update weather'' manually , but all working fine now, another question, the clouds below mid flight are fantastic, however, they seem to end suddenly, and dont go too far infront, ill add a screenshot once i've finished this flight, hope you understand me..

Cheers, adam.

Could be your cloud draw distance, for low flyers we recommend a setting of about 80 miles and 110 miles for high flyers.
