I have a compaq sr5210nx sitting around and wondering if theres anything i can do to it to play fsx on it, maybe different processor, and what not, my laptop really doesnt like the abuse that fsx is giving it and the graphics my laptop put out are total garbage.

That's a dinosaur. Can build a new one for what it would cost to make that one able to do anything.

Depends on what you want. I use a Cooler Master HAF X case. You need to select a mother board, PSU, RAM etc to finish a build.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157330 is the one I just used in my brothers i5 build. I use the Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 and they're pretty good will save a few bucks towards other things.

is there a pc that can run it pretty good straight out of the box? id rather start off with a good platform and then customize instead of building a pc from scratch
