December 2, 201213 yr Recently, due to a nasty virus, I was obliged to re-install Windows7 on my PC, along with FSX. Needless to say, I had to re-install everything on my system, all over again. I downloaded and installed the FSX service packs but found my visuals to be lacking. Specifically, I have a lot of jagged edges as if the AA isn't working. I downloaded Nhancer but couldn't get it to work (its my understanding that it is no longer supported). So then I tried nVidia Inspector and found a thread elsewhere here for some specific parameters, but I'm kind of floundering around with it and not seeing any results. If some one has any experience with the program, I would be grateful, as it didn't come with any installation instructions. I placed it on my desktop, but after applying the FSX profile, I don't see any improvement. Below is a pic showing some arrows that point to typical problems I see with the jagged lines. And just for the record, I know this pc is capable of delivering much better, but it seems I'm missing some critical item to pull it off. My pc is a Dell XPS 8300 desktop, processor is an Intel core i7 2600 CPU @3.40 GHz. 64 bit operating system, video card is a nVidia GeForce GT530 https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
December 3, 201213 yr Author Many thanks Word Not Allowed. My company just sent me on a trip so I won't be able to pursue this for a couple more days. Just one question for now; I place the inspector exe and its settings file on my desktop. Does it matter where it goes and if not the desktop, where should it be placed? Also, how do you get the profile to become the default one? When I made changes to mine, closed it down and then started up Inspector again, the old, default profile would be displayed. https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
December 3, 201213 yr Would love to know the answer to this "zig-zag" line problem. I've never had any issues with my FS9 system and running 3 monitors from 2 cards with beautiful lines. It seems I may have automatically upgraded my Nvidia drivers and suddenly have these horrible jagged lines. Running a GTX 285 and a GT9800 with Vista. I've downloaded Inspector but I'm out of my depth really. Is it a question of altering the settings to that shown on the guide? Interestingly I've always had a "zig-zag" problem with my FSX but only after I undock the external view and drag to a secondary monitor. If I look at the external view on the primary monitor then the lines are beautiful! Well...... That was until this driver upgrade..... Or so it seems??? Any help or advice greatly accepted and appreciated!
December 4, 201213 yr Author Thanks Word Not Allowed, I knew of the apply button but I wasn't sure that it was having any lasting effect. Question; if I hit apply and close Inspector, does the profile remain the same as the last one I applied? Or do I need to leave Inspector open? https://www.mediafire.com/view/dz3buh31pti9cej/BoeingDriverSignature.jpg/file
