December 7, 201213 yr Is there a tool or process out there that will diagnose scenery crashes and/or lockups for general areas (not specific airports)? I cannot load or fly into the NW U.S. or Alaska without either a lockup (flying) or a crash to desktop (Win7 FSX SP2). No problems anywhere else. Not aircraft dependent. Scenery data files compile properly with FS Commander and Plan-G 3. I've had FS Genesis mesh for years (no problem), UTX for years (no problem) and nothing that I can remember installed as an add-on recently. I've rebuilt the fsx.cfg file and checked the scenery.cfg file finding nothing out of the ordinary. December 7, 201213 yr Any way to find what's hanging the system? You should download and run AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html and it should give you some information. Also at this link is another program called WhatisHanging to troubleshoot an issue. Of course, the Windows Event Viewer records crashes and events occurring on your system too.
