July 30, 200421 yr Hi, downloaded and printed Fred Clausen's tutorial and its excellent. Doing the JFK to ORD flight at the mo, the aircraft is following the headings nicely.Paul you would probably be able to understand me here...in the tutorial he has put in snipetts of radio communication between PMDG 1 and New York.Heres 1:New York departure: Turn left heading 360 after passing 4000 Climb and Maintain FL390PMDG1: Roger after passing 4000 left to 360, and climb and maintain FL390I never hear or have to respond to any of these ATC radio commands however they are essential during flights. Only reason i know what to do for the JFK-ORD flight is because the radio comm is printed on the tutorial.Could anyone please tell me how, when i get these instructions from ATC without using the default ATC that came with the game. Do i need to set a radio? should it be done in the FMC? Thanks for your help Regards,Chris
July 30, 200421 yr Oh no, now a new problem on top of that one.I follow all the steps on the Fred Clausen manual but everytime i pull away from the gate i get a fire and black smoke plumes out from the middle of the aircraft. This didnt happen the very first time i did this but now i have had a fire 3 times in a row all at the same time after pulling away from the gate at KJFK.why does this happen?Regards,Chris
July 30, 200421 yr Chris, suggest posting this set of questions in the PMDG forum, right here at Avsim.. you are likely to get your answers there. :-) Bert
